Tron Recognizer - Grid Patrol Ship
 
Model Details

Recognizers are massive security vehicles deployed over the Grid as seen the the 1984 movie "Tron".  

These vehicles are the air support units for the ground tanks and can easily assist in capturing fugitive programs of the MCP.

This model has been designed to be printed in either PLA or Resin and is hollowed out to save on material and weight.  

You will need to use a series of pins to support the various pieces to help give it the floating appearance as seen in the film.  

The instructions sheet included with the files will show you the needed length and number of pins.

The model measures 255mm in height by 300mm in length and a width of 60mm.  

Please note, the interior wall thickness is set to 2mm so if you reduce the files for printing it will reduce its thickness as well.

3D PRINTING SETTINGS

Printing Details: PLA

The prototype print was done using a Creality CR-10 with the following Cura settings.

Light Grey Hatchbox PLA (1.75 mm)

Printing Temp 198 deg Celsius

Bed Temp 60 deg Celsius

Print Speed 50 mm/s

0.4 mm nozzle and 0.2 mm layer height.

Wall thickness is 1.2 mm with an infill of 30% using a zigzag infill pattern.

A brim was used with support material needed for some parts.
